Roches Neuves L'échelier Saumur BIO 2019

The 2019 L'Échelier Saumur Blanc BIO is one of the finest expressions of Domaine des Roches Neuves by Thierry Germain, a master of the Loire and pioneer of biodynamics. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes from the L'Échelier cru, located on calcareous tuff and sandy soils, this wine perfectly expresses the minerality and elegance of the Saumur terroir.

It displays a bright golden yellow color. The nose is broad and complex: white flowers, citrus, yellow apple, honey, and smoky notes, enhanced by a distinct minerality. On the palate, it is taut, precise, and vertical, with vibrant freshness, great finesse, and a long, savory, chalky finish that reflects the purity of Chenin. The 2019 vintage offers balance, energy, and excellent aging potential.

It pairs perfectly with shellfish, fine fish, refined seafood dishes, delicate white meats and mature goat's cheeses, proving to be a white wine for great gastronomy.
