Domaine Les Poëte is one of those Loire gems that deserves your full attention. Located in the rather modest appellations of Quincy and Reuilly, Guillaume Sobre produces perfectly ripe and balanced Sauvignon. He cultivates his 6 hectares of vineyards with respect for the environment; for him, the only logical way, with few interventions but an attention to the well-being of consumers. The son of an oenologist and trained chef, he devoted himself to sommellerie, studying oenology in Beaune. He then returned to the Loire, inheriting uncultivated land and gradually planting vines.

His motto “less is more” is reflected both in the vineyard and in the cellar. He does not seek high yields, but rather strives to get the most out of the aromatic potential of the grapes. The vinifications are also low-intervention: élevage without sulphites, nor other inputs. The maturation periods last between 12 and 18 months, in barrels and vats. The wines are bottled 6 months before being put on sale.
