Chateau Sauternes Rieussec 1er Cru Classé 1855 2013

€159,60/l

The 2013 Château Rieussec Sauternes Premier Cru Classé is one of the great sweet wines of Bordeaux, produced by one of the historic estates of Sauternes AOC, classified as Premier Cru in the famous 1855 classification. Owned by the Lafite Rothschild family, Château Rieussec is renowned for its ability to combine opulence and finesse, thanks to privileged vineyards that benefit from the microclimate created by the Ciron River, ideal for the development of Botrytis Cinerea (noble rot).

The 2013 vintage has produced an elegant and complex Sauternes. It displays a deep, brilliant gold color in the glass. The nose opens with aromas of dried apricot, candied citrus, honey, acacia blossoms, and saffron, enriched with toasted and spicy notes. On the palate, it is rich and velvety, with sweetness balanced by a lively freshness and a long, persistent finish, with mineral and fruity overtones.

The 2013 Rieussec Sauternes is a wine for contemplation, perfect with foie gras, blue cheeses, pastries, fruit-based desserts, and spicy Asian dishes. One of the appellation's most prestigious labels, it combines tradition and refinement.
